What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone and overall skin quality. The treatment works by creating controlled micro-channels within the skin, stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin for a smoother, firmer and more refreshed appearance.
At Longeva Wellness, microneedling treatments are delivered through a clinician-led approach tailored to individual skin concerns and treatment goals.
What Can It Treat?
Microneedling is commonly used to improve fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, acne scarring and dull-looking skin. Treatment can also be used on areas including the face, neck and scalp depending on the concern being addressed.
Patients travel to our clinic from Rochdale, Manchester and across Greater Manchester for personalised aesthetic treatments delivered under clinical supervision.
The Treatment Experience
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to keep discomfort minimal. The microneedling device is then passed systematically across the treatment area in a controlled and precise manner.
Some redness following treatment is normal and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. Most patients experience minimal downtime and can return to normal daily activities shortly afterwards.
Results and Skin Renewal
Improvements in skin quality develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases. A course of treatments is often recommended for best results, with the number of sessions depending on the skin concern being treated and individual response.
Full aftercare guidance is provided following every appointment to help protect the skin and optimise results.
Suitability and Consultation
Certain skin conditions, active infections or recent use of some medications may affect suitability for microneedling. A consultation is required to assess the skin and determine whether treatment is appropriate.
As a GPhC-registered pharmacy with pharmacist-led clinical governance, patient safety and professional care remain central to every treatment decision.
Our clinic offers free on-site parking, refreshments during your visit and convenient access from across Greater Manchester.
