What Is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a professional skin treatment designed to improve skin tone, texture and overall clarity by removing damaged outer layers of skin. At Longeva Wellness, chemical peels are delivered through a clinician-led approach tailored to individual skin concerns and skin type.
Different peel strengths and acid combinations are used depending on the concern being treated, helping to reveal fresher, smoother and more even-looking skin.

The Treatment Process
Every treatment begins with a detailed skin consultation to assess suitability and prepare the skin appropriately. The peel solution is applied following cleansing, and a mild warming or tingling sensation during treatment is normal. Sessions are typically quick and straightforward with minimal downtime.
Aftercare and Recovery
Some redness, dryness or light peeling after treatment is expected and forms part of the skin renewal process. Following aftercare advice carefully is important to protect the skin and optimise results, including daily sun protection during recovery.

Suitability and Consultation
Not all skin types are suited to every chemical peel. Certain skin conditions, sensitivities, medications or recent treatments may affect suitability, which is why consultation is an essential part of the process.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?
Makeup is generally best avoided for at least 24 hours after treatment. Specific aftercare guidance will be provided.
