About Migraines
Migraine is a common neurological condition that can cause moderate to severe headache along with symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light and sound and visual disturbances. Attacks can vary in frequency and intensity and may significantly impact daily life.
At Longeva Wellness, pharmacist-led consultations focus on assessing symptoms carefully, identifying triggers and recommending suitable treatment options to help reduce severity and improve management.
Recognising Migraine Symptoms
Migraine symptoms often include throbbing or pulsing headache, nausea or vomiting, sensitivity to light or noise and in some cases visual changes known as aura. Symptoms may last from a few hours to several days depending on severity.
Patients travel to our clinic from Rochdale, Manchester and across Greater Manchester for personalised consultations and treatment advice delivered under clinical supervision.
Treatment Options
Treatment may include over-the-counter pain relief, anti-nausea medication or prescription treatment where clinically appropriate. Recommendations are tailored based on symptom pattern, frequency and individual response.
Our team also provides advice on identifying and managing triggers such as stress, sleep disruption, dietary factors and hormonal changes.
Pharmacist-Led Care
Pharmacist-led consultations allow eligible patients to access selected prescription-only medicines without needing a GP appointment where clinically appropriate.
This approach supports timely access to treatment while ensuring symptoms are assessed safely and managed effectively.
When To Seek Further Help
Sudden severe headache, neurological symptoms, changes in vision or headaches that are different from usual pattern should be assessed urgently. Persistent or worsening migraines may also require GP or specialist review.
As a GPhC-registered pharmacy with pharmacist-led clinical governance, patient safety and professional care remain central to every consultation.
Our clinic offers free on-site parking, refreshments during your visit and convenient access from across Greater Manchester.
