What the Consultation Covers

Our pharmacist reviews your weight history, current medications, lifestyle and any relevant contraindications before making any recommendations. Where prescription support is clinically appropriate, we explain how it fits alongside dietary and activity changes that are essential for sustainable results.

At Longeva Wellness, consultations are designed to provide a clear, structured understanding of your options, ensuring any treatment plan is safe, realistic and tailored to the individual.

Who the Service Is For

This service is intended for adults who meet specific clinical criteria related to body mass index and associated health conditions. A full clinical assessment is required before any prescription is considered, ensuring suitability and identifying any factors that may make treatment inappropriate.

Patients travel to our clinic from Rochdale, Manchester and across Greater Manchester for pharmacist-led weight management consultations delivered under clinical supervision.

The Consultation Process

Each consultation includes a detailed review of medical history, current medications and overall suitability for treatment. If appropriate, a structured plan is created and explained clearly before any treatment is started.

Follow-up appointments are an important part of the programme, allowing progress to be monitored and treatment adjusted where necessary.

Ongoing Monitoring

Prescription weight management support is designed to work alongside improvements in diet, nutrition and physical activity rather than replace them. Regular contact with our pharmacy team ensures progress is monitored safely and any side effects are managed promptly.

This ongoing support helps ensure treatment remains appropriate and effective over time.

Important Considerations

All medicines used within this programme are prescription-only and require clinical supervision. They are not suitable for everyone and are not intended for cosmetic or non-clinical weight loss.

A thorough consultation is essential to determine whether treatment is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

As a GPhC-registered pharmacy with pharmacist-led clinical governance, patient safety and ethical prescribing remain central to every consultation.

Our clinic offers free on-site parking, refreshments during your visit and convenient access from across Greater Manchester.
