Our clinicians
Our pharmacists in Manchester
A pharmacist sees every patient. Longeva is a pharmacist-led private clinic in Greater Manchester. Every consultation is assessed by a GPhC-registered pharmacist, and treatment is delivered by trained clinicians working to written clinical protocols.
Our clinical standards
How we supply medicines
Medicines are supplied under a Patient Group Direction (PGD) by our qualified pharmacist. A PGD is a written instruction signed by a doctor and a pharmacist that allows our registered pharmacist to supply specific medicines to defined groups of patients who fit the clinical criteria.
That means we can assess your history, examine you where needed, order investigations and, where appropriate, supply licensed treatment under PGD. Where a service is outside our scope we will say so and refer you on. Our Superintendent Pharmacist is currently pursuing the Independent Prescriber qualification; site wording will be updated once that completes.
How we work
- Every clinician is registered with the relevant UK professional body and named.
- We only prescribe UK-licensed medicines and source from MHRA-licensed wholesalers.
- Treatment pathways follow NHS, NICE and BMJ guidance and are reviewed regularly.
- Continuing professional development is logged and audited.
- Any adverse event is recorded and reportable under Yellow Card where applicable.
