What Are Fat-Dissolving Injections?
Fat-dissolving injections are non-surgical aesthetic treatments used for selected areas of localised fat. They are intended for body-contouring purposes rather than as a treatment for obesity or a substitute for weight management.
At Longeva Wellness, treatment is consultation-led. Suitability, the treatment area, expected outcome and relevant medical history are assessed before any procedure is offered.
Areas That May Be Considered
Depending on the product used, clinical suitability and individual anatomy, treatment may be considered for selected localised fat deposits such as the submental area or other small body areas. Not every area is appropriate for every product, so treatment planning is individualised.
The Treatment Process
If treatment is suitable, the clinician will explain the product being used, the proposed treatment area, expected side effects, alternatives and aftercare before obtaining consent. Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising or firmness can occur after treatment.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?
The number of sessions varies according to the product, treatment area and individual response. Some people may require more than one session, with treatment intervals determined by the clinician.
Suitability and Consultation
Fat-dissolving injections are not suitable for everyone. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection at the treatment site, relevant allergies, certain medical conditions or medicines may affect suitability. A full consultation is required before treatment.
