What Does Tamiflu Cover?

A tamiflu covers the specific health risks associated with your travel destination and individual circumstances. Recommendations may include vaccines, prescription medications and general health precautions appropriate for the region.

Why Early Preparation Matters

Some vaccines require multiple doses given over several weeks. Starting travel health preparation early allows all required vaccinations to be completed and for immunity to develop fully before departure.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

Bring your travel itinerary including destinations, dates and planned activities. Previous vaccination history is also useful, as is any relevant medical information that may affect the advice provided.

Prescription Travel Medications

Some travel health products require a prescription, including certain antimalarials and treatments for altitude sickness. Our team assesses needs during consultation and provides prescription access where clinically appropriate.

After Your Consultation

Following your appointment you will have a personalised plan covering recommended vaccinations and medications. Our team remains available to answer questions before departure and can provide written vaccination records.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

Ideally at least four to six weeks before travel to allow time for all required vaccinations and medications to be arranged.

Do I need a consultation for every trip?

It depends on the destination. Trips to higher-risk regions benefit from a review even if you have travelled there before.

Are travel vaccinations available on the NHS?

Some are. Many are provided privately. Our team advises on what is available and at what cost.

Can I get malaria tablets from a pharmacy?

Some antimalarials are available without prescription. Others require one. A consultation identifies the most appropriate option.
